Alessandra Torre takes a huge leap outside the box with Love Chloe, a captivating, romantic story of self discovery that follows fallen socialite, Chloe Madison. Chloe, born into wealth and privilege, unexpectedly finds herself homeless and unemployed after all of her family's assets are seized by the government, just before she discovers her longtime boyfriend's infidelity. While her situation seems dire, the story that evolves is a fun, surprising one, wrought with magnetic, snarky characters and humor ridden dialogue all swathed together by Alessandra Torre's sharp writing style. This book chronicles Chloe's newfound view on life, on love, on people, on New York and her voice as well as her perspective is deliciously consuming.

This is a story about figuring out who you are after everything that once defined you is stripped away. It's about Chloe's journey of self discovery, her transformation as she learns how to be a better friend, a service to others, an independent woman, as she discovers who she truly is. This is such a fantastic story, one I never wanted to end. Chloe's journey is honest and raw and sexy and funny and real. Being in her head, watching her struggle to adapt to this new life she's been thrust into, navigating this city and these relationships and this job, I loved every bit if it. Love Chloe is a perfect mix of celebrity, friendship, fashion, sex, and romance. It's a little Sex in the City, a little The Devil Wears Prada. Throw an array of delectable men into the mix, the potential for an unexpected romance, and curve balls that never cease, and a wholly unputdownable storyline is born.

I admit that I didn't read this series as Alessandra Torre delivered it as a serial for Cosmo. But after reading this saga as it's been adapted into a full length novel, I can officially say that I'm happy I didn't. I really love the way this story unfolds in the form of a novel. It's fresh and fun and unpredictable. It's overly dramatic without feeling forced and fake. The daily antics Chloe finds herself in, as bizarre and extraordinary as some of it may be, it all still feels light and exciting (and a little crazy) without feeling unbelievable. I was just so thoroughly invested in Chloe, in her happiness, in the hope that she'd find love, that she'd find herself. I was IN this story from beginning to end and I honestly wish the book had come before the online serial so I had some way to keep up with Chloe after the final turn of the page. Torre's humor, her appreciation for beautiful men, for shoes, fashion and sex ooze blissfully from these pages. Chock full of humor, sarcasm and Torres signature sharp wit, Love Chloe is a modern, flirty, sexy addiction and I could not possibly have loved it more.

  1. Do you know who the cover model is? She looks like the Adalind character from the TV show Grimm!
