Title: Take Me Back
Series: Standalone Novel
Author: Meghan March
Release Date: March 20, 2017

From USA Today bestselling author Meghan March comes a hot new standalone romance all about second chances.
We fell in love on a beach, got married in paradise, and rode off into the sunset. It should have been perfect, but saying “I do” doesn’t guarantee a happily-ever-after.
Two years later, I barely recognize either of us behind the walls we’ve built.
It’s time to bring it full circle. Back to a tropical paradise. Back to find out if we can still make this work.
I’m not willing to give her up, but to save us, I have to risk everything.
Two damaged people
Countless secrets.
The fight of our lives.
We might be broken, but we’re not done.
Excuse me while I freak the f*ck out all over this review. You've been warned. It's about to get shouty.

OMG. OMG. OMG! I'm blown away. Honestly, you guys, I feel book drunk right now. Half of this review probably won't even make sense because it's going to be filled with "ooohhhhsss and ahhhhhhs and gasps and omgs and squeeees." So, if you don't like those types of reviews, look away, cause that's all I've got right now!

This is a BOOK ALERT if I ever did see one. This is a 'drop your life, you will never be the same, best book' alert. I'm overwhelmed by the ride this standalone novel just took me on. I was NOT expecting that. At all. Not even a little. When I opened Take Me Back I thought I was going to get an angsty story about a couple who has a broken marriage. I thought, "heart break, regret, sadness, angst." And AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! :::freaks out::: It was all that to an extent. It definitely had those feels--the regrets, heartache and emotional struggle--but it was more!

On top of ALLLLLLLL the emotion, I got the most kick ass plot line, served to me in the best, most seamless POV, past/present shifts I've ever read. The flow of this novel, the way the story unfolded, was riveting. From the second I met Dane and Kat I had an INSTANT connection to them as a couple. I was pulled into their world, completely invested, desperate to know what they were doing, where they were going, what was wrong, and how they were going to fix it. I couldn't breathe, eat, sleep, move, until I was done. I had a case of book fever. And so, as I kept reading, I got more and more buzzed. The secrets, the twists and turns I never saw coming, all took me deeper. Intense. A wild journey.

And no joke, this couple is EVERYTHING. Kat is a hard working, independent go-getter who's addicted to building her business. She uses that to cope with her life problems. And Dane is this strong, completely rugged, amazingly badass alpha-male with some MAJOR secrets. Kat and Dane have been married two years and obviously, they're having problems. Communication between them is shit. And so, as a last ditch effort, Dane takes Kat to a secluded Island in Belize in an attempt to see if they can save their marriage.

From here you think... "OK. I'm going to get a rehash of all painful things they've both done wrong." Yes and no. There's a little rehashing, but MOTHER OF F*UCKING HELL. You get a story that leaves you stunned, slack jawed, on the edge of your seat. Really. The suspense element that comes into play is WHOA BABY. You do not want to miss it!!

Overall, I'm completely high off this book. This is in my TOP READS of the year with Devil You Know, Egomaniac and Pucked Off. The BEST OF THE BEST here. So breathtaking. From start to finish, addicting, intoxicating, heart wrenching and delicious. I LOVED it. I cannot wait for you to LOVE it. Dane and Kat are going to blow you away. 10 zillion stars for me.

Chapter 1

Crap. I’m going to be late.

I check the clock on my phone for the seventeenth time as my car service heads for the Houston airport. If I miss this flight, Dane will never forgive me. Two years of marriage, and I know that for a fact.

“United Airlines, right?” the driver asks.

“Yes. Please. My flight boards in less than an hour.”

He glances up in the rearview mirror and rolls his eyes at me. “I hope you don’t have to check bags. They might not let you.”

“I don’t need to check bags. Just . . . hurry.”

He shakes his head and mumbles something to himself before taking the lane heading for the United terminal. I can already picture my early-for-everything husband waiting at the gate, glancing at his watch every three minutes and wondering if I’m going to make him take our anniversary trip alone.

I should have skipped the Brazilian wax. I don’t know why I thought forty-five minutes of someone tearing the hair off my lady parts might somehow help bridge the chasm between us.

Now I look like a plucked chicken, and my husband might strangle me.

My flight from Dallas touched down at seven o’clock this morning, and I hurried home to find Dane had already left for the office. Not a good sign for me. After a mad dash up to the bedroom, I dumped out my carry-on of suits and blouses on the bed and grabbed a handful of bikinis (I’m praying they still fit and they match), some dresses from those exotic weekend getaways that seem like they were part of a different life, and a random selection of other shorts, T-shirts, cover-ups, and sandals. My toiletry bag never moves from its zipper compartment, but when does it ever? With my suitcase reloaded, I made it to the spa by nine, in time to transform my blond mane from a work-weary look into vacation ready.

This is how I live now. Rushing from here to there, barely stopping to breathe. If I don’t give myself free time to think, I won’t break.

Must. Stay. Busy.

Now I’m pasting a smile on my face and pretending to be excited about taking a vacation that overlaps with the second-most devastating day in my life.

I can’t believe you’ve been gone for a year.

Grief wells up, and like I’ve practiced since I dragged myself out of bed a week after the funeral, I push it down and swallow the urge to cry.

This is why I don’t take vacations. This is why I work myself to the bone, spending more time in airports, hotels, and conference rooms, solving my clients’ problems so I don’t have time to worry about my own.

At least theirs are fixable.

But I’m trying because Dane was adamant. He didn’t even tell me about the trip until he’d already booked it and I couldn’t say no.

The horn of a rental-car shuttle blares behind us, jerking me back into the present as my driver swerves to steal someone’s spot in front of the terminal.

“Better get moving, lady. You’re gonna be late.”

I throw open the door and yank my carry-on out of the car. Thank God this goes on my business account, and I don’t have to waste time paying him.

“Thank you,” I yell over my shoulder as I rush toward the sliding doors.

I breeze past the check-in counter because veteran traveler that I am, I’ve already got my boarding passes on my phone, and head for the expedited security line.

Thirty-nine minutes until departure. I got this.

Twenty-six minutes later, I finally get through security and rush down the hallway to the gate, which, of course, is at the very end of the terminal.

Just like I pictured, Dane is standing at the edge of the seating area, phone to his ear, glancing at the clock above the head of the gate agent.

“Hey. Sorry. I’m here.”

He turns toward my voice. Brown eyes that are a perfect match to his short dark-brown hair sweep over me. His brows slash into a deep V.

It’s a complete one-eighty from how he’d grin and then catch me when I’d throw myself into his arms when we met at the airport on our stolen weekends away. But that was before everything changed.

Dane ends the call and shoves his phone in the pocket of his gray shorts. His white T-shirt strains over the thick muscles of his shoulders and arms, revealing gray-and-black ink that’s usually hidden under the sleeves of the starched shirts he normally wears for work.

“Jesus, Kat. I thought this was your way of telling me it’s over.”

His words hit me in the stomach like a fist.

“You haven’t answered my texts since last night, including the three I sent you this morning to see if you were even coming. I get that business comes first with you, but seriously, what the hell?”

I stare at him, feeling like I’m looking at a stranger instead of my husband. “Over?”

“What else am I supposed to think when you go radio silent like that?”

Fumbling for my phone, I stare down at it like I’m holding alien technology. “I didn’t get any texts.”

“That’s hard to believe since I’ve sent a half dozen.”

“We’ve finished our pre-boarding and now are boarding Group One, our first-class cabin,” the woman at the podium announces.

Dane grabs the strap of his duffel and hefts it over his shoulder. “Let’s just get on the fucking plane.”

Two years of marriage, and it’s already come to this.

It’s all my fault.

Title: Shade's Lady
Series: Novella - Standalone
Author: Joanna Wylde
Release Date: March 14, 2017

New York Times bestselling author Joanna Wylde returns to the world of the Reapers Motorcycle Club…
Looking back, none of this would’ve happened if I hadn’t dropped my phone in the toilet. I mean, I could’ve walked away from him if I’d had it with me.
Or maybe not.
Maybe it was all over the first time he saw me, and he would’ve found another way. Probably—if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that Shade always gets what he wants, and apparently he wanted me.
Right from the first.
Shade's Lady is a delicious little treat, a decadent morsel of yummy biker goodness... and as with anything this tasty, it was over too soon and only left me craving another bite. Shade and Mandy's story is short and sweet, sexy but packed with drama. Joanna Wylde filled this novella to the brim with reluctant romance, "club business," and steam that never let up. I only wish this story was longer. It was over too quick for my liking. I'm a reader that would have loved to get lost in the Reapers for a few thousand more words.

Shade's Lady is the story of the Reaper president and a waitress from the wrong side of the tracks. Mandy is a fiercely independent, headstrong young woman who finds herself in Shade's crosshairs under the craziest of circumstances. Those events endeared me immediately to these characters and it pulled me right into this storyline. Within the first few pages, I found myself consumed, devouring these chapters eagerly to see how this would play out. Shade wanted Mandy and I wanted him to get her. But I loved that Mandy wasn't like other girls, like the typical club hangarounds that would jump at the chance to catch the eye of the club pres. She's stubborn and not willing to be taken for a ride, so to speak. She knows Shade isn't relationship material, he's made that abundantly clear, and after the last few men in her life completely screwed her over, she's not remotely interested in adding another wild card to her relationship repertoire. This dynamic made for an angsty, sexy story of push and pull and I enjoyed every second.

Shade is a character I wished I'd gotten to know better. I felt like we barely scratched the surface of what goes on in his head, of what it means to be the Reaper MC president. I'm dying for more of him, for more of what makes him go from a biker sleeping his way through his club territories to a man unwilling to let a one night stand with a waitress end after breakfast. While the dual POV gives us insight into what both these characters are thinking, I was still left wanting more. I was left feeling like I didn't have that question answered.

I'm not typically a huge fan of novellas because I'm always left feeling like there was more to uncover, things left unsaid. With that said, I really loved this story. This novella IS the complete package, albeit a bit rushed at the end. I'm just a Reaper addict, an absolute Joanna Wylde glutton, and I. Wanted. More. Always more. While this book is on the lengthy side for a novella, I'm secretly hoping Joanna Wylde has more in store for the Reaper president and his lady. There's things I need to hear, details I want in on, a future I want to see more of. Shade's Lady is a delicious little taste, but it only made me hungry for the possibilities of what could come. I just hope this author has more cooking. I'm left salivating. I'm tempted to go back and read every book in this series again just to get more of Shade, glimpses of details I might have overlooked while I was so consumed by other characters.

This novella certainly delivers. I'm back in Reaper territory and I don't want to leave. It reminded me of why I love this author's writing, why I love these characters and this club, why I love reading biker romances. It's an enticing short story that makes me want to relive every story that has come before it and makes me ravenous for what Joanna Wylde has in store.

Jessica's Rating:

"Nope. That’s not how it works,” Shade said, sliding his hand up into my hair. “It was about a member of a support club lying to the national president of the Reapers. He tried to cheat me out of five hundred bucks by promising something he didn’t own. We can’t let guys like Rebel get away with that shit. Wouldn’t matter what it was about, the principle’s the same.”

“There are so many things wrong with that statement that I don’t even know where to start. I...I literally can’t figure out what I want to argue with you about because it’s all wrong. All of it.”

“It’s how our world works,” he said, rubbing up and down my lower back. He might’ve been trying to soothe me but my thoughts were spinning too fast. “There’s good and bad. Part of the good is that when you belong to someone in a club, it’s not just his job to protect you, it’s the whole club’s. I’d die for Dopey’s old lady and I don’t even like the bitch. He’s my brother, though, and she’s his property. It is what it is.”
